About the Abba Museum

This famous museum actually includes an exhibition relating to the Swedish pop-group Abba. It is situated in the capital of Sweden, Stockholm, in the central city, near the Gröna Lund theme park. The museum was expected to be open in 2008. The famous Abba Band was born in Sweden. Therefore it is not surprising that the country established a museum in order to commemorate them.

What can you see in the museum?

In the Abba Museum you can experience the Abba years of his success. In the museum you can relive the 1970’s, the period when the famous Abba worked, wearing their typical clothes and using their music instruments. Entering the interesting museum, you can hear the famous Abba hits.

Anywhere you look, you will see only things which were in the hands of the popular singers like music instruments, clothes, gold, silver and platinum plates. It is like you step back in past and meet the popular singers. The Abba Museum is the perfect place for tourists who loved the band. Facilities offered to visitors

After visiting the exhibition, you have possibility to eat in the museum, more precisely at the excellent Melody Restaurant which can accommodate up to 50 guests. Other facilities of the museum include free wireless internet connection. You can take pictures, but only without using flash. Unfortunately there are only a few parking lots behind the museum, but you can enjoy the public means of transport and a nice walk. The pets are not allowed in the museum due to the loud songs which could make them stressed.

Opening times and prices

The museum can be visited in all year around, every day between 10:00 and 22:00. For children under 6 the admission is free, for children between 6-15 years the ticket costs 145 SEK and for adults 195 SEK. (July 2013)
