The town it gained its reputation not just because for its very pleasant setting but because of the famous actress Ingrid Bergman, who spent most of his summers in Fjällbacka.  The massive stone cliff, Kungsklyftan can be revealed in the movie ”Ronja the Robber’s Daughter”. If you climb up to the Vetterberget Mountain (there are stairs up there) you can have a magnificent panoramic view across the Fjällbacka archipelago. The town offers many sport activities to the visitors, such as seal safaris, diving and lobster safaris. The World Championships in Mackerel which is a popular autumn event, also takes place in Fjällbacka.

Hunnebostrand

Hunnebostrand is a very pleasant coastal community on the West Coast. It is a popular summer destination spot with stunning beaches and great restaurants providing a lively atmosphere. The town hosts the very famous Lobster Academy. There are exciting lobster safaris in every season, starting from September. The town also boasts swimming pool, riding club, seal, boat, fishing trips and amazing walking tracks. There is an annual festival hold in every July, featuring activities for children and adults with a bustling street life.

Situated on the Western part of Sweden by the Koster fjord it was an important resort, where carbon dioxide springs were found. The town has beautiful shopping area and excellent restaurants. There are a vast array of activities, such as seal safaris, boat and fishing trips. The Strömstad baths are very famous recreational centers with spas. The ferries are operating between the Koster islands, a popular spots for cyclist and families. There is a bike rental facility at the port of Koster.

Located South of Strömstad there is an award winning holiday center: Daftö FerieCenter, with many campground and cabin facilities, ideal for families as well.
